Our Roots- Founder's Story

After my first son was born, I became passionate about sustainability and reducing our exposure to harmful chemicals became a priority. With a background in luxury spas, I was accustomed to using high-end product lines. However, the naturalist in me didn’t love most of the ingredients in these professional products or the waste from the plastic bottles.

Out of my Okanagan kitchen, with a $20,000 line of credit, I embarked on a mission to create shampoo and conditioner bars that offer the same quality and results as salon products, but in a clean, sustainable, low-waste form. From here the High-End Hippie was born.
